David Mayer, P.D.

Founding Pharmacist, Co-Owner
COO, Executive Vice President

David Mayer is Professional Arts Pharmacy’s co-founder, co-owner, COO and EVP. The company and its values and commitment to quality are a reflection of him and co-founder Eric Vidrine. Because David wears many hats and has many responsibilities, he believes his most important responsibility is ensuring that Professional Arts Pharmacy’s reputation is predicated upon “the consistent delivery on our promise of high quality service and product delivery.”  David says “continuity” is a keystone to customer care quality as well as excellence in product and service delivery. He believes a fundamental principle of any successful pharmacy is meeting their responsibilities under the physician-patient-pharmacy triad.  “This is doubly important when your responsibility is custom medications for individual patients with unique treatment regimes.” This requires a team “that can listen, learn and anticipate a physician’s or patient’s needs,” he adds, and the best way to achieve that is relationship building.  “We are skillful at finding the right people, putting them in the right role and giving them incentives to thrive and grow and remain here,” he concludes. “That creates continuity and makes people our most valuable asset.” David Mayer was raised in Washington, LA and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe) in 1990.  In 1991, he married Michelle and they have two sons Andrew and Matthew.  He co-founded PAP in 1998.
